Gharials

Gharials .

Gharial are fresh water animals . They mainly feed on fish and very sensitive pollution in water . They are unique crocodiles
Gharials are mainly found in some parts of Ganges river. And in gharials are found in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
A gharial crocodile  is also known as the Indian gavial. The are currently on the critically endangered list of animals
,International Union  for conservation of Nature.
The main reason behind endangerment of the gharial is the loss of their habitat, gharials are riverine and generally live in shallow and calm areas of waters in larger and faster rivers. The loss of their habitat is due to building of dams and irrigation canals on and around the larger sources of water in various regions in India. They cannot survive in deeper waters or on land and it has been very difficult to preserve their perfect habitat .
Human contributing to animal to get endangered too.the pollution which human create damages to animals. It also destroys a habitat of animal and leave it with no place to live.
Fishing also damaging to their populations as it deplete food source .

Conservation: There are great conservation efforts currently place. First there are cooperation between several governments in order to preserve these creature ,and many diffrent areas that are protected and linked to captive breeding and realising into wild of the animals . The wild population of gharials is now at around 1500 in India , but unfortunately the success has not yielded the hoped for results.
If we don't take action and try to protect them , they will easily become extinct . This is becoming global issue, most people finally taking notice. Do you really want more animals disappearing?

Snow leopard

Snow leopards are one of the most beautiful and mystical wild cats.
Natural Habitat of snow leopard: The snow leopards lives in the Himalayas , the mountains of Central Asia and the Mountains of Southwest China as well as Tibetan plateau.
Snow leopards typically inhabit rugged terrain such as steep slopes with bluffs. They lives in high altitude between 3000 -4500 m but has also been known to go above 5500 m in Himalaya in Summer.
Facts about diet- what to eat up here?
The snow leopards prey on whatever ungulates are available from wild pigs and markhor . Their staple prey, without which they could not survive in most areas , consists of blue sheep and ibex. The most important prey for them is deer and hares.

Why snow leopards are endangered?
The snow leopard is listed as endangered by International Union for conservation of Nature and Natural Resources.  The sad fact is that the biggest threat  to snow leopards are humans. Humans hunt them for their own selfish reason. They hunt them for their fur and bones, from fur humans make coats and hats. Humans also destroy  snow leopard habitat  for food sources by killing the prey of animals they need to feed on.  In this way these animal get endangered.

Conservation efforts.
Numerous agencies are working to conserve the snow leopard and its threatened mountain ecosystems. These include the Snow leopard trust , the Snow Leopard Conservancy and Panther  Corporation . These groups and various national governments from the snow leopard s` range are focusing to save snow leopards , it focus on research ,community programs in snow leopards region and education programs are aimed at understanding the cats need , to create awareness amongst village people to not to hunt animals.
